Legal Stuff, Part 2

This might turn into a Bad, Bad Thing. Ave Maria Law School has been one of the most astoundingly successful endeavors in the attempt of the culture of life to take institutional root in this country. It has been turning out brilliant lawyers dedicated to the service of God through civil institutions, to the ordering of the law according to the divine principles from which it originates. It has attracted a star-studded faculty (can you say "Robert Bork"?). It's been one of the top two options for my own law school search -- even though it is in Ann Arbor. If it loses credibility through packing up and heading to Florida, and especially if it falls apart in the process, there are going to be a lot of very upset people, and even more people to whom a grave disservice has been done by taking from them the option of receiving the education and formation that it offers.

St. Thomas More, patron of lawyers, oro pro nobis
