Why can't we elect this man

.... to anything? I would sign up for an Alan Keyes campaign in a heartbeat. I wouldn't care if it were County Dogcatcher he was running for. Why? This is why. You can't even pretend you'd ever thought of that. I hadn't, and I actually think about those sorts of things.

Call me cynical, but the reason Alan Keyes has about a 0.01% chance of being elected to a national political office is that he's honest, intelligent, and an orthodox Catholic.

(That doesn't mean I wouldn't vote for him!)

I got to vote for him twice:

Once for the republican presidential primary and again for Illinois senate.

I love me some Alan Keyes.

Personally, I think that he puts too many intelligent thoughts into one sentence for the television camera to handle. He needs someone to help him communicate on tv better.

He should save complicated stuff for print.

First time I ever saw him I fell in love--he is so overwhelmingly intelligent it fairly burst forth from him.

I still hold out hope for him. He's my man.
