Today is the feast day of St. Albert the Great. He was an amazing scholar, theologian, and man of holiness, but he is sometimes best remembered today by the comment he made regarding his pupil, St. Thomas Aquinas: "you call him a dumb ox, but I tell you that the dumb ox will bellow so loudly that his bellowing will fill the whole world."
