Do I really live in this town?

Bartlett, for those of you who may not know, is a Memphis suburb, and one of the more God-forsaken places on earth. I don't actually live in Bartlett, I live in Memphis itself -- I don't know if this is a good or a bad thing, honestly. However, something this outrageously stupid has to have some connection to it being Memphis, because people in other places just don't do things this unspeakably DUMB. (Note, it's the Memphis library system, the branch just happens to be in Bartlett.) At least we can rest easy knowing that threatening to sue the begeezus out of someone still scares them enough to do something right . . . for some reason I'm not jumping for joy.

On the plus side, you folks have really good pulled pork sandwhiches.

However, the catfish is better down in Jackson.

Truer words have rarely been spoken.

The barbecue is one of only three reasons (the others being Paul's family and CBHS) I can come up with for not giving Memphis to Mississippi or Arkansas.

Yes, the BBQ is fantastic -- Neely's has the best sandwhiches (and they're HUGE), for anyone who ever finds himself in Memphis.

And for the benefit of our readers, CBHS is my high school

That's Christian Brothers High School for those for whom Paul's link wouldn't work.
