Someone tell the Russians.

Speculative Catholic has an article by science fiction writer John C. Wright about his recent conversion to Christianity. In it, he describes the errors of the atheists who were for so long his compatriots: "If atheism solved all human woe, then the Soviet Union would have been an empire of joy and dancing bunnies, instead of the land of corpses." Well, apparently the USSR didn't get the memo that it wasn't a land of dancing bunnies:
