Women's History Month

The American Inquisition has some thoughts on the celebration of a Women's History Month. I was not aware until this evening that such a thing existed and am dismayed (though unsurprised) to learn that it does. Go read the AI's very clear-headed take on the subject.

That we have to set aside months to celebrate any people group just wearies me. Here's an idea: why don't we celebrate all human life, regardless of race, sex, or any other characteristic, every day? Is that really so radical a thought?

"Women's History Month" just might be worse (if such is possible) than the National Women's Hall of Fame, which I wrote about a while back. Sigh--Folks today...
