Nancy says 'Do it for the hamsters'

Nancy Pelosi doesn't like the budget resolution for this year, apparently. So, since her fiscal preferences somehow automatically are moral certainties, she has encouraged her colleagues (who are constantly drawing attention for their overt and orthodox religious faith, right?) thus:

"Let us vote no on this budget as an act of worship and for America's children."

Even folks who are real big on worship being in everything we do, such as Evan and St. Theresa, have to wince at that. And she throws in a "do it for the children," because just making a stupid religious reference isn't inane enough, apparently. And come on, why children? Did they ask to be part of your annoying political hack work? Why not hamsters?
