''Little Folks''

We here at IVA are a number of years away from having children of our own, but that hasn't stopped us (and by us I mean me, with Paul smiling and nodding patiently) from spending the last half-hour exclaiming over Nancy Nicholson's "Little Folks" curricula.

These darling books cover the alphabet, numbers, phonics, reading, spelling, and science with a distinctly Catholic flavor. My favorite part is the "Catholic Flashcards" set included with the phonics package.

"Monstrance," "priest," and "rosary" beat the stuffing out of "mouse," "penguin," and "rabbit" any day.
